March 31-April 10, 2009
After an amazing time in Colorado, I came home to San Diego for what felt like SPRING BREAK 2009. It wasn't planned nor was I expecting it, but with beautiful weather and an additional week off work, I definitely took full advantage of it.
It all started with a shopping spree at the Billabong warehouse with Carly, thanks to Huy. Therapeutic shopping is the best!...so $500 later I was feeling pretty good. Then a trip to yogurtland made things better followed by a drive home in mom's convertible, top down! Drinks at Grandview, followed by Happy Hour at Calypso...that was just the beginning!
One good thing about Spring Break was how much walking Carly and I did, training for the Breast Cancer walk. We averaged about 5 miles a day walking roundtrip from Grandview to Swamis. Our walks were usually followed by a day at the beach. Ethan, Carly's nephew, evan got to join us for a few walks and beach days as well!
(Carly, Kristin, & Me @ the Brigantine)
The SALOON was visited probably one too many nights this week, but we can't really help ourselves. Kylie came down for a long overdue visit. Carly, Kristin, Mikey, and I had a nice Sunday brunch at the Brigantine in Del Mar. Gotta love endless mimosas! Tyler and I took a tour of the Stone Brewery. Check it out! Tours are free and the beer, food and atmosphere are phenomenal. Coaster rides to the watch the Padres beat the Dodgers. YAY! Missing the train on the way home in the rain! UGGH! Had some good quality time with my parents and sunset strolls with Brooklynn.
(SALOON)
Thanks to everyone who participated in all the adventures that took place. Can't wait for summer and all that is to come!
To beaches, bronzing, and boozing!

Hello from Oregon! Happy Easter to you! I just had to make a comment about how much I enjoyed reading your blog. It is so interesting! I have done a good bit of flying during my lifetime, (I was a female drummer with a band that did alot of military tours around the world) so it was fun to see some of the pics from the air as well as the day to day adventures. I would like to follow this blog if I could, please come over to my blog and let me know how I can join as a follower, I would love to take this flight! Enjoy your holiday week, Love from "Mrs. Slug"
